Experiences & Plans Workshop

During the EUEIP Forum, 14-15 November in Utrecht, there will be a dedicated workshop on Automation in Traffic Management & Traffic Centres. The objective of the workshop is to discuss the benefits of introducing automated and autonomic functionalities in traffic centre operations.

This workshop will include interactive sessions where participants will learn about and share experiences of existing automation; discuss traffic centre operations that can be automated, how to plan automation, and what KPIs can be used to assess automation.

There will be two sessions:

Session 1 will address the question: where is road operator ITS automation now?
Including short presentations on road operators’ ITS automation and industry developments,followed by group discussion.

Session 2 will be an interactive session on defining scales & KPIs for its automation
Here we will present and discuss novel scales and proposals for assessment KPIs, automation functions and timelines.

WARM-UP SESSION FOR NATIONAL BODIES AND NATIONAL ACCESS POINTS

On Wednesday 14th November from 9:30-11:00 a "warm-up session" is organised for National Bodies and National Access Point Operators, theme of the session: tackling common challenges.

Topics:

  • Current status of National Body (and NAP) implementations

  • Identification of common challenges and open questions for National Bodies and NAPs

  • Managing communications towards international companies

  • Further need for collaboration
